Extended in the 1930s by the distinguished diplomat, Sir Eric Phipps, the house and outbuildings were converted into eight houses in 1977.  The property is of brick elevations edged by a parapeted facade, under a pitched roof and is arranged over three storeys.

The accommodation is well presented and takes full advantage of the high ceilings, sash windows and other period features.  The reception rooms are generously proportioned.
